What is the McKinley Collaborative Garden Project?

– An educational garden project collaboration between Haley House and the McKinley South End Academy. 

The McKinley Collaborative Garden Project aims to create a sustainable school garden in order to: 

• Enrich student education with hands-on learning experiences both in the garden and the kitchen
• Promote healthy food choices by teaching participants how to grow and prepare fresh food
• Build relationship between students, families, school staff, neighbors, and local organizations
• Create a peaceful and productive space that contributes to the quality of life for all involved
